The foundations of Outreach!

The food pantry was established to alleviate the physical and emotional hunger of those in need in a dignified and supportive manner. The food pantry is a client choice pantry where clients can shop once a month for items they need. Food and commodities provided include food, personal hygiene products, cleaning and paper products, diapers and pet food.  See below for more complete list of items found on our shelves.

For the 2013 Thanksgiving Food Drive, we partnered with the Loudoun Homeless Shelter. We collected food and grocery store gift cards to provide baskets to 25 -30 families in transition. Through your kindness and willingness to help others, we exceeded our goal!

We thank everyone who prayed, made contributions, donated time, food, or gift cards; you made this a success.

BSFLOM launched its first Thanksgiving Food Drive several years ago to provide children at a local elementary school food over the holidays. Since then, the Thanksgiving Food Drive has become an annual effort.

Bethel Stand for Life & Mount Zion Commandment Outreach Ministries had partnered with Temple Hills Church of God (THCOG) host the Warm Nights Program for one week, annually in October. The homeless guests are men, women and children. During the week, meals are served; bed space is made available; clothing is provided; accommodations for bathing are made; and the guests are given the opportunity to fellowship with members of the church during regular weekly church activities. The Warm Nights in October 2016 was especially sobering for many of us, as our guests included more children than we have ever hosted.

Temple Hills Church Of GOD would like to thank everyone that assist with the Warm Night from October 16th to October 23rd. BSFLOM and Mt. Zion Commandment Ministries help with purchasing, preparing and serving food, personal care packages and clothes to families, haircuts, setup and break down sleeping carts and much more.

Bethel Stand for Life & Mount Zion Commandment Outreach Ministries & Temple Hills Church of God (THCOG) will be participation in the 10th Annual Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Coat Drive in partnership with Burlington Stores, Good Morning America, and K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers!

The coat drive will officially launch on Monday, November 14, 2016 during the morning segment of Good Morning America.  The official end date of the coat drive is Monday, January 23, 2017.  K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers will periodically contact you to offer support and to inquire about any special events that your organization is hosting around the distribution of coats received through the drive.

This collaboration is part of an ongoing effort to ensure no individual goes without a warm coat during the cold winter months. Each year the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive relies on the generosity and compassion of our customers across the country. In partnership with ABC’s Good Morning America and the national non-profit organization K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, Burlington collects gently-worn coats in all its store locations and works with local agencies to distribute the coats to those most in need within the community. Having completed its 9th year, the coat drive has collected well over 1.5MM coats! Thanks to all those that continue to donate and help spread the gift of warmth!
